Gary Wockner from Save The Colorado will present an overview of the Moffat Collection System Project (Gross Dam expansion), its impacts on Boulder and Grand County, and where the permitting process is right now. The outcome of the FERC process will likely impact Gross Reservoir neighbors, so it is important to attend this meeting and learn how to give input to FERC. The Army Corps of Engineers is also likely to make their final permitting decision in the next few months, and so it is critical that Gross Reservoir citizens learn about the project and engage in the process.
TEG will hold a public forum / meeting to bring everyone up to date on:
- Denver Water’s public relations efforts,
- the legal action TEG is taking to stop the expansion project,
- Our collaborations with other organizations,
- the status of Boulder County’s stance and their options,
- the success of our recent fundraising efforts,
- what you can do to help kill the project

TEG is hosting an appreciation lunch on Feb 17th starting at noon and runs to 2pm at the CCCIA Hall. The lunch is to show our appreciation of the community and all your continued environmental activism and support. TEG will provide the main meal and drinks, and are asking attendees to bring a small potluck dish. Please RSVP TEG at TEGcoalcreek@gmail.com so that we can get a head count for planning purposes. We ask that you come with ideas for new projects that you would like to TEG to be a part of and we will informally discuss current projects and your environmental concerns. We will have music and be raffling off prizes.
