The proposed Gross Dam Expansion Project is the largest construction project in Boulder County history and no one is talking about it. The proposed project will cause long-term depletion of the Colorado River, with serious impacts to Boulder County Open Space near Walker Ranch, Boulder neighborhoods and surrounding traffic, recreational activity including cycling, boating and fishing, and local wildlife, birds insect and fish populations. All of this destruction to support the Denver Metro area while Boulder County negligible benefits.
