The Environmental Group (TEG) will hold a public forum/meeting to bring everyone up to date on:
As has been thier strategy since 2003, Denver Water would like to have everyone believe that this project is a “done deal”, that it is “going to happen”. But nothing could be further from the truth. Denver Water still has yet to be approved for a single one of the multiple County, State, and Federal permits required for the project, and the coalition of organizations combining resources to stop the project in court has grown in size and dedication every year. Currently, we are preparing to challenge the release of the first permit decision (a federal one: Clean Water Act 404) anticipated for this fall.
Our Citizens for Sustainable Water Management (CSWM) project has been underway for more than 3 years working on this, and we’re currently collaborating with the non-profit Save the Colorado to take direct legal action to stop Moffat/Gross via our Boulder County & Colorado River Legal Defense Fund.
Here you can see an Overview of Moffat/Gross and the Top 10 Fatal Flaws with Moffat/Gross.
