Boulder County cannot legally take a position yet on Denver Water’s proposed expansion of Gross Reservoir (Moffat Project), but we are confident they will represent the will of their constituents when the time comes. That’s why we are reaching out to the Boulder County Commissioners to ask them to help stop the proposed disastrous Moffat Collection System Project.
This proposed project would be the largest construction project in Boulder County history. It would drain 5 billion more gallons of water out of the Colorado River each year, build a massive 131-foot height extension on the Gross Dam in Southwest Boulder County, and cause huge negative impacts to home values and quality of life for nearby residents.
Also, Save the Colorado, with whom we are partnering to stop Moffat/Gross is hosting a informational presentation/meeting on Monday, April 4th at 7pm, in Boulder at Shine, 2017 13th St. The meeting is free and open to the public. Facebook Event link here
